The reviews for this chandelier are mostly accurate. The one reviewer mentioned it’s like assembling Legos. That’s true!!!So, let’s give you some insight of the people assembling this chandelier. My son (20) is mechanically inclined. I’m am too with an artsy/crafty flare, but with ADHD! My attention span for these types of projects can be challenging. Having a partner to help me was imperative! It would’ve been more daunting had I built this alone. So, we had different jobs and different talents here. He wired it assembled most of this chandelier. I assembled the crystals together. (The long strings of circular crystals are already connected. I was grateful for that! The crystals you connect are the circular and dangle ones that hang throughout. Also, you connect those to the rings of the other rings and on the glasses). It’s easy to figure out. We assembled the basics of this chandelier along with all wiring from the ground however, we added most of the crystals (and weight) while it was hanging. We felt it would be easier when were installing. That was only our preference. As long as you’re okay working from a ladder connecting little pieces together.The directions are non existent. They’re in Chinese and a DVD given…. Well, who knows because who has a DVD player now so, I can’t assess those directions?! LolIt was packaged perfectly. Not a broken piece and not one extra crystal, gem, or wire either. It was exact…. That’s never happened. One complaint, the wires are very short, and some of the internal wiring pieces/caps are cheap so if you need an extension, I would suggest wiring this with your own wires and use your best electrical knowledge.You will be assembling this chandelier piece by piece but, I ASSURE YOU, THIS CHANDELIER IS A PIECE OF ART WORK AND QUITE THE SIGHT TO BEHOLD in person!!!!! To buy an assembled chandelier of this magnitude and crystals would be well over $2K anywhere else. (So, you can pay over 2 grand OR you could build this amazing chandelier yourself for under $400 and tell EVERY SINGLE visitor in your home you built this chandelier bit by bit, how much money you saved, AND how much fun it was in the end. It’s quite the conversation piece when people come to visit!). You see my choice. If you’re a little crafty, can work off of a picture and You Tube videos on wiring chandeliers, then YOU CAN DO IT TOO! We’re not geniuses, we have common sense and some mechanical aptitude. Go for it. I’m literally IN LOVE with this chandelier and it’s truly MAGNIFICENT in person with the crystals dripping everywhere and shining. It makes me so happy!
